Furniture that starts on the client’s own lawn. We followed Sebastian Cox and his team as they milled fallen trees right where they lay.
(Concept)
Sebastian Cox makes furniture that champions British woodland, tree to table. For this commission the story began on the client’s doorstep: the team brought the mill to the estate and cut their timber a few steps from where it grew.
(Production)
We shot through the seasons as the work unfolded: chainsaws in the morning light, boards coming off the portable mill, fresh stacks left in stick to dry. Drone frames show the full scale, down to one giant slab cut with a rail guided saw.
